Welcome to WithinHubris.net, the hopefully final home of the Within Hubris forums.
If you're here, you probably already know the purpose of this forum, but if not, a bit of background:

The original Within Hubris was a forum created by Alex Hall on
February 17, 2011, as part of the Ben Drowned Creepypasta/ARG. After a time that forum was taken down due to (allegedly) police request. A secondary, replacement forum was created by fans of the ARG on August 10th, 2012, often nicknamed 'Newbris'. (More information on all that here)

The community on that forum expanded and grew. Many memories were had there, from projects created by it's users (including ARGs, comics, music projects...), to drama, memes, and the creation of subgroups, a time was had by all that is fondly remembered.

Unfortunately, it was not to last.
The downfall of both previous 'Within Hubris' forums is that they were not privately run, but instead built on the freesites provided by InvisionFree. Sometime in 2017, Invisionfree and Zetaboards were purchased by Tapatalk. Newbris' days were numbered.

On August 21st, 2018, Tapatalk transitioned Within Hubris from it's original forum state into a 'mobile friendly' forum/chatroom combo that was only partially accessible, as features were locked behind a paywall. They also forcibly changed/removed the classic theme, and affected post count numbers, threads, and various other aspects of Within Hubris that users had grown to love.

We are truly a suffering lot.

MFGreth and Wolfcat, two users from the community, wanted to remedy that as best as possible, so now here we are: a privately hosted and run, third version of Within Hubris (nicknamed 'Tribris) that will act as both a living museum of the original, Ben Drowned intent of this forum, and a place for those nostalgic for days long past to rejoin and post again.

I can't lie. Activity on Newbris had dwindled severely (many of its' users had moved on to Skype and, eventually, Discord); however, Greth and Wolf feel it is important that some version of the site exist the way it was initially intended, and so here you are, WithinHubris.Net, where the forums can never be destroyed by likely made up police reports or corporate takeover.
